During his Ph.D., Victor combined first-principles simulations, thermodynamic modeling, and machine learning to investigate the role that solid-solid interfaces play in electrochemical applications, with focus on lithium metal batteries. As a postdoc, his research projects involve using machine learning methods to study complex material structures, including grain boundaries and 2D heterostructures, at accuracy levels near those of ab-initio calculations.
